ESNNA Code of Conduct

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism has established its commitment against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents through the Code of Conduct against CSEC.

This important initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) consists of creating awareness and training all those involved in the tourism sector of our country with the aim of preventing and eradicating the sexual exploitation of minors (under 18 years of age).

Code of Conduct to avoid the ESNNA and our Commitment In XPEDITION TREK we are committed to promote and develop a series of joint actions in order to prevent and eradicate the problem of Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in the development of our services and through all members of our team (stakeholders) along our value chain.

Actions developed by XPEDITION TREK against CSEC

By adhering to the Code of Conduct to eradicate Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA), we are committed to constantly implement a series of actions, among them:In the specific case of travel agencies and tour operators, as is the case of XPEDITION TREK, adhere to this commitment by signing the Code of Conduct against the ESNNA, before the GERCETUR, and we commit to comply with the principles and duties established in this document; as well as in compliance with the General Law of Tourism and its regulations on the prevention of the ESNNA. Promote awareness and training of all members of our team: administrative staff, operational staff, commercial staff and other parties; in order to contribute to the eradication of CSEC. In this sense, in accordance with our values and legal aspects, none of the XPEDITION TREK team members offers or accepts requests related to the different modalities of sex trade associated with: The use of children and adolescents in pornographic activities.

In the same way, promote awareness and training of all our stakeholders or interest groups, among which are: guides, cooks, drivers, support staff (porters), muleteers, rural community tourism companies, hotels, hostels, restaurants (as well as their respective collaborators) and other interest groups; in order to contribute to the eradication of CSEC.

In this sense, in accordance with our values and legal aspects, none of the stakeholders offers or accepts requests related to the different modalities of sex trade associated with: The use of children and adolescents in pornographic activities. Sex tourism.

Trafficking of children and adolescents for commercial sexual exploitation. Sign the XPEDITION TREK Supplier Code of Conduct, through which all stakeholders and various activities along the value chain in our operations commit to comply with the five commitments set out in the document; as well as to report CSEC to the appropriate authorities as necessary.

As an additional aspect to the commitment of our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, in XPEDITION TREK we promote the welfare of children in our region and country, indirectly, through the generation of income for families in destinations where we develop our tourism activity. In addition, we support children on special occasions, such as Christmas, Children’s Day, among others.

En resumen, a través de la práctica del turismo responsable en general, XPEDITION TREK promueve el desarrollo y bienestar de las poblaciones locales y de todas sus partes interesadas. En este sentido, nuestro compromiso con el programa ESNNA también nos lleva a desarrollar acciones para prevenir y erradicar la explotación sexual contra los menores.
